The music you listen to is incredibly important during and after your “Hell Week” of Refining and Stripping Away. Worship music fills your heart, mind, and soul with heavenly tactics for the spiritual warfare you’re in and are being prepared for.
Conversely, the enemy will try to get in your mind any way he can and music is his jam. (See what I did there?)
Lucifer was created glorious, and many believe he carried music within him before his fall. What we know for sure is that pride twisted his worship, and now he corrupts music to steal glory meant for God. That’s why we see so much demonic influence in today’s music industry.
“Demonic influence” sounds so benign when you consider what is actually going on. Music is now a way for spells and curses to be cast on you and believe me, none of these are for your good. They are meant to destroy you and keep you from any sort of intimate relationship with your Creator.
Secular music is “prayed” over by witches and warlocks in satanic cults. The master tape of a song or album is the centerpiece of a ritual where spells and curses are placed on the tape, so that they can be attached to all the other medium that would come from that master tape…meaning the songs that would go out to you.
The music you listen to, the movies you watch, the media you pay attention to, all can be open doors to the demonic, all can place curses and spells on you. I’ve even seen open books of spells shown on Netflix shows. Did you know just looking at a spell a witch wants to place on you ignites that spell? I didn’t either!
I married someone at age 20, with whom I wasn’t really in love. I was in school at the University of Southern Mississippi and working at Applebee’s. I began dating a co-worker and one day he tagged along with me when I went to the University Library to do some research on a project.
While I was looking for whatever it was I needed, he walked up to me with a book of spells. It was open to some Love Spell and he stuck it in my face saying, “Look, here’s the love spell I wanted to put on you, but I can’t because I can’t bury anything under your bedroom window.”
It was true. The back porch was nestled below my bedroom window and the ground was covered in concrete. He would have needed a jack hammer to bury his eye-of-newt, or whatever it was.
I thought it was a joke. I should have run. I ignorantly brushed the incident off as stupid. It wasn’t stupid. It was pretty smart on his part.
I would later tell this story, at different times, to co-workers involved in witchcraft. Each time I would tell the story, I would get the same wide-eyed, white-faced look with the same question to follow:
“Did you read the spell?”
My answer was always the same, “I just glanced at it.”
Their reply was always the same, “That’s all it takes!”
“What?”
Be careful what you read!!! Be careful what you look at!!!
Apparently, Mr. Harry McPotterson, here had tricked me into being put under a spell just by looking at it. Believe what you want, but at age 20, I had no interest in marriage, yet somehow I got married…to someone I can’t remember ever really being attracted to.
The proposal was beautiful, though. We were in my car. (He didn’t have a car or a license due to a prior DUI.) I think we were driving to work, when the topic of marriage came up.
Him: “You wanna?”
Me: “Meh, why not?”
No ring. Nothing. That was it. Stupid!
I remember thinking he was probably the only person who would ever want to marry me, so I might as well take the offer. Did that thought come from the spell?
We were together 14 months and separated 14 months before the divorce was final. Spells don’t last long, I guess. They just take your life on a detour for a bit, if you’re not protected from them.
Yes, be very careful what you let into your eyes, ears, and mouth! You are being bombarded by sneaky spells and curses without even knowing it. Keep what you see and hear holy and you’ll have a lot more protection against the wicked schemes of the devil and the open doors for demonic oppression.
“I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me.” Psalm 101:3
“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2
Song: I Am, by Grace City, Anna Hallsten
In the end, God is restoring everything that was stripped away from me. While I don’t have a best doggie friend, yet, the Lord is doing amazing things and had the perfect job chase after me, after I was solely depending on Him for almost 2 years. Yes, He miraculously provided for me for 2 years!
He dropped the perfect new home in my lap after being homeless and semi-homeless for 2 years. He is replacing old friends with godlier relationships. LIFE IS GOOD!!!!
I made it through the hardest training by really doing all the things I listed above and I can feel the rewards and see the strength, perseverance, and endurance He has developed in me. And I got to plant so many seeds along the way. I know I’ll see those fruits in Heaven!
So, congratulations on being chosen for the toughest and most meaningful and impactful training you could ever possibly go through!
If you were chosen for This Refining Period, This Stripping Away, This Wilderness Season, God saw incredible potential in you! Don’t ring that bell! Stick it out, Mighty Soldier, and I will see you on the other side of it.
We will be the army that conquers hell together!
